Led by renowned surfer Al Mennie in Portrush, Co Antrim, Krav Maga Causeway trains participants in the Israeli system of self-defence – Krav Maga. A certified instructor since 2011, Al provides one-to-one classes and group sessions on the North Coast as well as running various courses and classes.
As a PKM instructor and Second Degree Black Belt instructor with Krav Maga Northern Ireland and Vault Defence, Al was trained by Glyn Ashton, founder of Krav Maga NI. He was further certified by Boaz Aviram, a former Israeli Defence Forces fighting fitness Krav Maga chief instructor.
Krav Maga teaches participants a form of self-protection which includes a range of techniques which have their roots in boxing, Judo and other martial arts. Krav Maga Northern Ireland now trains under the umbrella name of Vault Defence, which is made up of Krav Maga/Ground/Close Protection and Knife. #liveitexperienceit
