Tildarg Fishery

Just north of Ballyclare in County Antrim is Tildarg Fishery – a fishery with a 17-acre lake which is renowned for its hard fighting fish. Historically this place is very special. At the fishery there is a man-made dam which, in days gone by, used to power one of the six mills which were a prominent feature in the valley which is renowned for its use of water power.

Stocked with 3lb – 7lb Rainbow Trout it provides excellent boat and shore fishing with easy access. Facilities include a purpose built fishery lodge including a shop, angler’s rest room with log fire. There is an attached kitchen and toilets including ladies, gents and disabled. Flies, tackle, confectionery and cold drinks are available.

The fishery is disabled-friendly and the lodge is easily accessible for wheelchair users and there is disabled parking in close proximity to boats for easy access. Tildarg is equipped with a fleet of 11 Mag Marine boats ranging from 12′ to 17′ in size with two of the fleet being boats specially designed for wheelchair users and are free of charge for any disabled angler. #liveitexperienceit
