Boyles of Dromore

Dromore in Co Down is a town famous for many things from Irish rugby legends to the inventor of the Harry Ferguson tractor.

This market town, historically an old linen manufacturing district, is the perfect location to take an historical scenic walk to visit the remains of Dromore’s castle and a 13th century motte.

Nestled in a picturesque side street of the market town you will find Boyles of Dromore, a traditional family run pub and restaurant, who’s owner is proud of its green exterior and unassuming interior.

Voted as Readers Favourite Restaurant in 2014 at the local Business Awards, and ranked as the number one restaurant in Dromore on TripAdvisor, Boyles of Dromore knows how to put their customer experience at the heart of everything they do.

Boyles of Dromore - Live It Experience It

Visitors and tourists to this market town will be able to savour the flavours created by award winning head chef, Ray Malcolmson, who has over 30 years of culinary experience.

Ray, who has previously won the Taste of Ulster award sources ingredients used in his dishes as close to the door of Boyles as he can get. Whether its freshly caught fish from Portavgoie, succulent steak ordered from the Boyle’s Butchers Block or tasting traditional Irish soda bread with Portabello mushrooms, Roy and his team of chefs guarantee a tasty bite in a great environment.

Complimenting the award winning intimate and charming restaurant is the great craic and banter you would be sure to receive from the other side of the bar while sipping your traditional pint of Guinness.

So whether you fancy great food or great craic Boyles of Dromore  never fail to meet your needs.

The popular  pub and restaurant, which is situated on Castle Street, has been in a prominent location in the County Down town for over 250 years.  It was historically owned by the Clarke brothers  and was finally bought by the Boyle family in the early 1920s for £800.

This is one pub which we highly recommend. The food really is delicious.

"We love having a bit of craic here in Boyles of Dromore and people travel from far afield for our food. Ray is a cracking chef and he and the team serve up delicious dishes fit for a king. So, come and have a delicious family meal with us and enjoy our great atmosphere."
