We often talk about the spectacular sea views from the heights of rugged cliffs, from the glens and from the hair raising walk across our most famous rope bridge but there’s one woman on the North Coast who is offering views from a totally different perspective.
Anne David runs Causeway Coast Kayaking Tours from the wonderful town of Ballycastle – a small town located on the north eastern most tip of Ireland where visitors can see the beautiful Rathlin Island and the Mull of Kintyre in Scotland.
This is a destination which is hugely popular for tourists visiting the Causeway Coast Route so it’s ideal that tourists have the chance to see our magical North Coast from a totally different viewpoint.
Anne, who is a fully qualified kayaking instructor, is offering visitors to Northern Ireland, and locals living here, to chance see our place from the sea.
This is a wonderful experience as sea kayaking allows you to get a different perspective, uncover hidden spots, travel the shoreline in one of the most environmentally friendly ways, get up and close with our shore’s wildlife, and, if you fancy dipping your toe in the ocean, we’re sure Anne wouldn’t have any objections.
The tours, which are suitable for beginners, as well as the more advanced kayakers, are focused on our famous stretch of coastline which attracts hundreds of thousands of tourists ever year.
Lonely Planet voted Belfast and the Causeway Coast of Northern Ireland as Best in Travel 2018 and we know exactly why. Our wild places, rugged cliffs, caves, castle remains and coastal roads have impressed people from across the globe but they take on a whole new expression from a sea kayak.
During a tour with Causeway Coast Kayaking Tours you’ll get to hear Anne talking about our famous coastline, its iconic landmarks, explore caves, learn about the history of the area as well as keeping an eye out for dolphins, seals, sea otters, sea birds and much more.
This is certainly one way for you to enjoy the peace and tranquillity of remote places, revel in our unspoilt beaches, stop and take in the dramatic views, capture your visit with your camera while enjoying everything that’s natural in our wild world.
When you come to visit Northern Ireland this is one tour which will ensure you leave with a great tale to tell. And for those staycating, what more could you want?
The tours are available seven days per week and Anne is offering one hour give it a go sessions as well as three hour guided tours which can run from Ballycastle right around the coast to Portrush.
All’s left for you to do now is sit back and paddle your way to the ultimate North Coast tour.
