CraicNTour

There are many amazing locations in Northern Ireland for guided walking tours but one which particularly stands out is walking through the Glens of Antrim. The magic of this place never seems to fade.

There are nine glens in this area of outstanding natural beauty which is popular with cyclists, hikers, nature enthusiasts, lovers of folklore and storytelling.

And tourists are always quick to comment on how friendly and welcoming local people are and one such person is John Robbin who set up a guided tour company – CraicNTour.

John, who is an Irish history graduate, offers guided walking and guided taxi tours of the Glens to show off our unique landscape from rarely seen perspectives.

Full of craic, wittiness and warmth, John ensures his visitors have a thought provoking tour of these iconic glens which radiate from the Antrim Plateau to the coast.  The Glens are; Glencloy, Glenarm, Glenariffe, Glenballyeamon, Glencorp, Glenann, Glendun, Glenshesk and Glentaisie.

These Glens are rich in history, folklore and natural beauty. There are forests, waterfalls, riverside paths, vantage points and such a diverse selection of wildlife.

Tour with John and you will hear some fascinating stories, historical facts and he’ll no doubt entice you in with his storytelling of local myths and legends.

John’s knowledge stems from a family presence in the Glens dating back some 400 years.

John offers a variety of tours. His taxi tours are;

  • Harbours and Hills
  • Churches and Chapels
  • Saints and Scholars
  • Faeries and Folklore
  • Myths and Legens
  • Made To Measure

But, if you fancy getting out and about on foot, John also offers these fantastic walking tours. Make sure though and wear proper walking shows or boots and waterproof and warm footwear is also advised. And if you have never been here before it it’s worth noting  that there are steep inclines and the terrain is rough.

  • Fairhead
  • Murlough Bay
  • Glenariffe Waterfalls
  • Galbolly or The Hidden Village

CraicNTour also offers visitors airport and ferry transfers so you can let your journey begin as soon as you arrive.

All the details of the above tours can be found on CraicNTour
