Foymore Lodge

When you visit Northern Ireland and fancy some country sports pursuits then visit County Armagh where you will find Foymore Lodge just a few miles outside Portadown.

Armagh is the orchard county and it is so popular for tourists who stay locally so they can visit the Cathedral city itself, the orchards, enjoy the local food and drink establishments in the area, which is celebrated as the Food Heartland of Northern Ireland, and also to enjoy the outdoor pursuits.

Foymore Lodge is run by experienced shooter and countrysports pursuits enthusiast, Derek Lutton, who also runs the very successful Northern Ireland Countrysports Fair at Scarvagh every year.

Foymore Lodge is one place where you can immerse yourself in the heart of the countryside and learn the skills of clay pigeon shooting, air rifle shooting and also enjoy archery.

Located on the A4 Dungannon Road, Portadown, just two miles from junction 12 of the M1 Motorway, Foymore Lodge is open year round for practice and its facilities are suitable for beginners and advanced shooters, individuals and groups.

From the moment you arrive you know you are in for a great time as you and your group can enjoy 50 acres of mature land which offers a variety of clay shooting layouts.

Whether you are a total beginner to shooting or simply need some assistance with particular shooting problems Foymore Lodge has qualified clay pigeon shooting instructors at hand to help.

For beginners and novices Foymore Lodge has Scottish Clay Target Association (SCTA) qualified instructors on-site to provide training for novice shooters. This involves advice as well as practical experience on how to get started in the sport of clay pigeon shooting, how you safely handle a shotgun and how to successfully hit moving targets. These instructors will help you and your group start off with a variety of traps which will give you sound knowledge on basic incoming and outgoing targets and the more comfortable you become then you can try your aim at crossing targets.

If you are an experienced shooter the instructors can work with you to identify your shooting problems and will offer practical advice on how to resolve these issues.

Clay pigeon shooting, air rifle shooting and archery are great outdoor activities for you, your friends and your family to get involved in. Foymore Lodge caters for hen and stag parties in Northern Ireland, birthday parties, friends just looking a few hours activity and corporate groups who are looking for something that little bit different for team building days.

Keep an eye out on Facebook Page for special events such as Ladies Days and special group activities.

There is an on-site clubhouse, a shop where you can purchase  suitable country attire for shooting, there are facilities for refreshments, a disabled friendly access and layouts.
